10th of September 2020.
The time was coming. It firstly started when heavy rain fallen down to the earth at midnight before departure time in the morning at 08.00 am. All the stuffs that I had prepared had to be put in the luggage but the rain had not stopped. Instead, it was getting heavier with a loud squeak on the roof followed by lightning and very strong winds. but I had to sleep in order not not to miss the flight in the morning, this was all I could think of. the raindrops made my eyes hard to sleep
Four hours carried by a dream, I had to wake up again and when morning came, I did not see the sun but the sound of rain and wind that kept waving. I opened the door of the house, a puddle of water almost creeps into my house. However, I had to go to the airport in the rain situation and left my hometown to achieve my goals in life. But in my mind at that time, my family was at home healthy and not flooded all the way to the airport. The plane was scheduled to leave at 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from Padang to Jakarta and followed by a train at 12:15 p.m. from Jakarta to Yogyakarta.
Unfortunately the plane I was going to take to Jakarta had a delay of up to 1.5 hours. So at 9.30 I left and arrived at 11 am. I was getting restless, the expressions on people's faces began to change. smile turns to annoyance. I keep watching the time, so I do not miss the train useless. second by second, the time continued to rotate with certainty, anxiety began to mount on my face and soul.
After arriving in Jakarta safely, I thought about how I should get to the station just before the train left. luckily, I did not have too much stuff so I did not have to leave my suitcase in the trunk of the plane. I kept running towards the exit. Very large airports can take quite a while to get out of the airport. the swing of the needle continues to echo. panic and fear always haunted me.
Arriving at the parking area, I saw the vehicle online and immediately ordered this car where initially I only wanted to take public transportation to the station but because the time was very tight, I did not think at length that I was forced to choose an online vehicle. It was 11:20 a.m., I tried to convince the driver to arrive at the Pasar Senen station as soon as possible. My mouth kept telling the driver if we had to pass the highway to be free from traffic jams. It turned out that not all toll roads are passed, and we had to pass several traffic lights at crossroads.
Finally at 12.08 noon I arrived at the station. when the car door was opened and my foot was set on the ground, I started to expend energy to run until I got to the ticket counter but to find this ticket, I had to ask the officer with a breathless voice. it was 12:12 p.m., I had to run again to the train while calling my friend. Finally 90 seconds before leaving I sat in the train with a face full of sweat streaming down the train seat with a confused mind but a little calm heart. Finally 8 hours of travel, I arrived safely in the city of Yogyakarta and was picked up by friends at the station. I am very happy to meet them again.
